In Reverence of the Feminine is an art exhibition featuring the work of 36 Bay Area artists who use their gifts to build imagery of empowered and healed feminine beings who are connected to their inner spirit, environment, and ancestrality. Our exhibit visualizes the multitudes the feminine resides in and how this essence within us all is deeply rooted in the wisdom of the land, our intuition, generational strength & peacekeeping.

Welcome to the void. This workshop endeavors to open our collective access to the hidden feminine. During this workshop we will be using the rose of Jericho as a talisman of spring and renewal, while tapping into the astrological aspects of the eclipse and spring equinox. Harnessing the power of meditation and ceremonial tea, you will walk away with a feeling of rejuvenation and a deeper understanding of how to empower the divine feminine within yourself.

Candle Making
with Seraphina Perkins
My name is Seraphina and I'm a candlemaker, within the context of making objects connected to magic, stillness and ritual. This practice is also deeply connected to slowness, patience and ephemerality. Honoring beeswax as a resource that takes a long time to be made, filtered, melted and dipped is the beauty of this process! Using pressed flowers and other charms to adorn the candles adds another layer of intention as well. This material is sacred, and it brings me immense joy to carry and share a lineage of ancestral craft
In this workshop we will be dipping beeswax candles together and pressing flowers + other charms onto them! There will be options to make the classic dipped taper pair, or a shape which I can show you how to cut, dip, and mold (ex: a heart or a butterfly). We can also use the wick to make creative shapes like bows! If you have a sacred intention for the candles you wish to make, that is more than welcome; or just for fun! Hope to see you there

with Lucile Henderson
Lucile Henderson is a bronze and ceramic sculptress based in Oakland. In Reverence of the Feminine is her curatorial debut. Her art practice is interwoven with her spiritual practice. She is empowered to create liberated imagery of the feminine essence.
In this workshop, you will learn a brief routine to activate your creative energy. Qi-gong, a movement meditation originated in China, is used to clear your energetic centers from stagnancy and build your life force. We will do an hour session of this practice and use our activated creative energy to birth ceramic vessels.
